عرض مسرحي معاصر وتقديم لعمل قيد التطوير، بيستكشف حكايات شعبية محلية منسية من خلال مسرح الظل، والتصميم البصري، والأداء الحي.

«حيّة نهر أبو علي» هو العرض الأول ضمن إقامة الاستوديو للفنان راشد بشناتي، وتطوّر تحت إشراف الدكتور وليد دكروب.

يعيد المشروع إحياء فن مسرح الظل التقليدي في طرابلس، وهو فن ازدهر في المدينة واختفى إلى حد كبير من حياتها الثقافية، من خلال جمع الحكايات الشعبية، والتاريخ الشفهي، وسرديات مهمّشة.

تدور الحكاية حول أسطورة منسية عن أفعى ضخمة قديمة يُقال أنها تعيش بالقرب من النهر ومختبئة تحت سراديب القلعة والصراع الذي يدور بينها وبين الأمير فخر الملك. 
ويجمع العرض بين تحريك الدمى، والصوت المعاصر ليفتح مجال للتفكير بعلاقة طرابلس بالنهر، والأسطورة، والذاكرة الجماعية.

A contemporary performance and work-in-progress presentation exploring forgotten local folk tales through shadow theatre, visual design, and live performance.

The "Snake of Abu Ali River" is the debut studio residency performance by artist Rached Bchennaty, developed under the mentorship of Dr. Walid Dakroub. The project revives the traditional art of shadow theater in Tripoli, a once-thriving medium that largely disappeared from the city's cultural life, by weaving together folk tales, oral histories, and marginalized narratives. Centered around the forgotten legend of an ancient giant snake said to live near the river and hide beneath the citadel, and the conflict between it and the prince Fakhr el Mulk.

The multidisciplinary performance blends puppet manipulation, contemporary sound to open a space for reflection on Tripoli's relationship with water, myth, and collective memory.
